Tourism in Budhlada

Budhlada Town has been named after the two brothers of the khatri caste, Budha and Ladha. The town was initially a part of the Kaithal State of Punjab. It is situated on the Bhatinda-Delhi railway line. A market committee of the town helps in selling the produce of the farmers.

The ‘jeeri yaad’, ‘anaj mandi’ and rest-house in the town provide latest technologies and facilities to farmers. There are numerous rice mills and cotton factories in the town that can be visited.

Birdh Ashram

Birdh Ashram in Budhlada is administered by Ashram trust. It is located close to the Old Goshala of the town.Goshala is nothing but the place where the battle of cows are nurtured or cared; Gou meaning Cow, and Shala means place. Actually in hindu culture, Cow is treated as a sacred animal. So, these cows are tied and grazed properly by the Ashram trustees to protect the cow.

Gurudwara Shri Tegh Bahadur Sahib

Gurudwara Shri Tegh Bahadur Sahib is the very important Sikh place of worship, which is situated in the place of Budhlada. It has been established over the north-eastern corner of the tehsil. And this Gurudwara is found very close to the bus station of the tehsil. While, Holy Scriptures are also installed in this Gurudwara of Shri Tegh Bahadur Sahib.

Old Goshala

Old Goshala of Budhlada has been established just opposite to the Railway Junction and even the post office of the Budhlada Tehsil. While, Goshala is a kind of cow shed, where cows are taken care-off by the Ashram Trustees of Birdh Ashram. The reason behind such a care for cows is that, Hindus treat these cows as God, and thus, they are taken care-off. Cow is known as 'Gou Mata'. 'Gou' means Cow and Mata means mother.

Gurudwara Singh Sabha Ilaka Bara

Apart from Gurudwara Tegh Bahadur, there is another Gurudwara known as 'Gurudwara Singh Sabha Ilaka Bara' which is situated near to the railway station as well as post office of this tehsil. This holy place is filled with tourists, more than locales. Regular prayers and offerings are performed to the Guru Singh Sabha to seek His blessings.

Lord Shiva Temple

Lord Shiva Temple, as the name itself indicates the main God in this temple. That means, the temple is devoted to Lord Shiva, and regular prayers are offered to the Lord. Most of the devotees gather from the nearby villages to offer prayers. Similarly, people from other parts of the country visit this place to have darshan of the Lord Shiva Temple in Budhlada.

Krishna Mandir

Krishna Mandir is established in the center part of the tehsil, and Lord Krishna is found to be the main deity of this temple. Like other temples, regular pujas are offered to the Lord Krishna with full of devotion. People gather in large numbers to surrender themselves to the Lord, sing the glory of Him to gain the grace of Lord Krishna.

Hanuman Mandir

Lord Hanuman (Monkey God) is found to be the important deity in this temple of Hanuman. Lord Hanuman is the devotee of Lord Rama (Both characters were found in the Epic Ramayana). Saints in this Hanuman Mandir worship Lord Hanuman regularly at this temple. However, special pooja is offered to the Lord on every Saturday, which is the favorite day of Lord Hanuman.

How to Reach Budhlada?

One can reach Budhlada by bus, train and flight. Somehow, there are no other direct connectivity to Budhlada than train.

By Air : There are no regular flights to this tehsil, and the very closest airport is the Ludhiana airport which is just 110 kms away from Budhlada.You can also reach Chandigarh Airport which is just 149 kms away from Budhlada.

By Train : Budhlada is very well-associated with important cities of India on a regular basis. Hence, you can easily reach the town through trains.

By Bus : Though Budhlada is connected with buses, it's not a better idea to reach this tehsil by bus, as there are no direct buses in Budhlada. Instead of Budhlada, one can catch buses to Manasa, as regular buses are available here.
